Kempsey is an ideal stopping off point for travellers to feed the friendly geese on the banks of the Macleay River or stay for a few days and explore one of the most beautiful valleys in Australia. The Macleay River meanders through the valley and provides an aquatic playground for sport such as skiing, canoeing, boating, fishing and sailing. Crescent Head is the Hat Head National Park stretching all the way to
